Shining a little light on children's hospice care
Hospice care is about being there in the darkest of times. Our new video 'A little light' tells Dylan-James' story through the experience of his parents, Alison and Warren. It showcases the breadth of care Shooting Star was able to provide to their family during their darkest moments, and pays tribute to all those at Shooting Star who do such vital work supporting families. This special video was created in partnership with creative agency Liquona.

We support children with life-limiting conditions with a range of services from symptom management to respite, social support, therapies, family events and more.
Bereaved families
Families grieving the death of a child are offered the support of our specialist bereavement service for three years and three months. Services include counselling, arts therapy for siblings and a dedicated person to be your named point of contact.

It costs £10 million a year to run Shooting Star Children's Hospices
Just 30% of our funding comes from the government, so we rely on our supporters’ generosity to keep the service running.
